Dore Alley Fair, aka Up Your Alley, is tomorrow, Sunday July 28. The first took place in 1985 on Ringold Street, moving to its current location on Dore at Folsom in 1987. And yes I attended both! If this little alley could talk...
I cannot imagine all the hard work the volunteers, staff and directors do to produce a National Leather Conference like Thunder In The Mountains! These events are enormous and attended by hundreds!
As this blog goes live I will be at Thunder in the Mountains, Denver’s yearly Leather Conference, one of my very favorite gatherings of leatherfolk and kinky players. I started teaching about SM and fetish a couple of decades ago at a similar event. I was a professional Dominatrix; being asked to educate others was a big honor.
By now you’ve heard the history of Stonewall and the activism that has brought us to this day of equality. Cynthia Slater, who started the second BDSM organization in the US, The Society of Janus, was a good friend and the boots I inherited from her fit just fine.
